Last year was when I decided to begin studying leadership with the intention of honing my personal leadership capability and that of the management team at my company, particularly considering the many challenges posed by the pandemic.

In the search for literature and training, I found abundant material, and one topic repeatedly piqued my interest: that of leadership intent. I had never thought much about the intent of leadership and began reading and thinking about intent more curiously. I learned that understanding the reason a leader leads provides insight into the leader herself, the leadership decisions likely to be made and organizational performance.
